The soft-surface cross-country courses at West Chester’s historic Oakbourne Park are spectator friendly, and there is racing for boys and girls though age 14. EACH FINISHER RECEIVES A MEDAL AND A BOOK. Race winners in each category win a trophy.

Directions to Oakbourne Park: Take 202 to Pleasant Grove Road (just south of West Chester). Go east on Pleasant Grove to S. Concord Road and turn left. Go up over the hill and look for the entrance to the park on your left. On www.mapquest.com, type S. Concord Road and Gages Lane, and that will put you very near the entrance.
